Recently we got to work on a project for Leeds College of Art. The challenge was to design a new logo and identity system which reflected the original mosaic that features on the Vernon Street building along with the date the college first opened in 1846. The preservation of the type featured on the actual mosaic was developed by typographers Fontsmith. The new logo represents a single mosaic segment from the original artwork. In addition we designed a range of complementary promotional materials for the college including the prospectus, a pocket guide and a number of other items.
